No aparecen los datos del experimento 4, ni las fotos que subí

Estimada Mathilde,

he enviado, en los ultimos dias del mes de diciembre, los datos de los experimentos 3 y 4, solo aparecieron los del nro. 3, no así los del nro. 4.

Tambien envié las fotos de ambos experimentos y aun no aparece.

Debo volver a enviarlos?

Cuando van a aparecer tanto los datos enviados en los mapas, como las fotografias?

Tengo otra pregutna: aparece la posibilidad de hacer paginas en la cuenta del Colegio por el cual me inscribi. Cómo puedo relatar nuestra experiencia y colgar allí tambien las fotos? Me podrias indicar como trabajar con ello?

Unfortunately the International Year of Chemistry is only in 2011 and you can submit your results only until the end of the year.

Can't submit the results

Hi!

It seems I can't see the form for submitting results. I am logged in, and I am registered, but all I see is the message "Please login (OpenID) and register (on the left-hand side menu) to be able to submit your data".
I tried different browsers, cleared the cache.. still the same. Also, the maps are not loading (I saw someone else also reported the same issue)
Is it me, or the portal is experiencing some technical problems?

End Date for submitting

I am just wondering if and when the end date is for submitting data online? I'd like to do the experiments when my class is covering the related unit, but won't be there until the spring of 2012.

Hello,

I am writing on behalf of Carolyn Waters at Belmont Primary School in Perth, Australia. My name is Dino Spagnoli and I am a research fellow at Curtin University and helping the kids at Belmont Primary School complete the Global Water experiments. I uploaded the results of our pH test but when I looked at the map I see that you have located Belmont Primary School to be in Victoria. But we are in Perth, Western Australia.

Is there a way we can change the map so that you locate Belmont Primary School to be in Western Australia and not in Victoria please.

I have updated the Schools Map today, and Woodlands School now appears on it.

Your data is also in the list of submissions, with the number 1141.

We dot appear in the School Map

Dear Mathilde,
I am a teacher from Woodlands School, Montevideo , Uruguay. (South America)

Our 2011 School’s project, to celebrate Chemistry Year, in Grade 5 is WATER!.

Kids were anxious to participate in The Global Experiment. So students collected several water sample from different rivers of our country and followed the guidelines for EXPERIMENT 1 On August 12th I submitted the data.

We could observe how in the pH map how Uruguay appeared and showed its pH.

Unfortunately, we cannot locate ourselves in the SCHOOL MAP, nor in the list of submitted data as a another school participating in this global experiment.

Do you know why this occurs?
Can we solve it somehow?

Dear Päivi Koskinen,

Thanks for your post. I am very surprised because I update the schools map almost every day!
Have you submitted your results?
Your school doesn't appear when you register but only when you submit your results.
The only Finnish school being in the results table is 'Turun Suomalaisen Yhteiskoulun lukio', and does appear on the map. But I don't think it is yours, is it?

Please submit your results again (submit data in the left hand-side menu), and your school will appear soon after that

Hi!

It seems, that it will take quite a long time for a school to show on the map!
I have registered my school already in March and still it does not schow!

The school is out in Finland June 4th. Please update the map!

Dear Ilkay,

As one previous correspondent said, you should be able to collect all the necessary equipment (small containers, droppers, etc) easily. The pH measurement needs a common indicator, Bromothymol blue and another one, m-cresol purple. The Water Treatment experiment needs household bleach and alum, which one can usually buy in a pharmacy.

Dear Ilkay Aydemir,

Thanks a lot for your participation in the Global Experiment.

You shouldn't need a kit for the experiments, if your school doesn't have the right material, you should be able to find it in a normal shop.

The protocols were made so every school can conduct the experiments easily, without the need of a special kit.

I hope you can find an experiment you can do with the material you have in your school.

Please let us know afterwards how it went and how your pupils liked it,

Cuando registrará sus resultados (en la pagina Enviar datos), su escuela estará directamente en la tabla de los resultados.
Un par de dias depues, registraré su escuela en la Mapa. Eso no se hace directamente, sino lo hago yó, por eso necesito un rato.

Thanks a lot for participating in the Global Experiments, and for sharing the information with other Finnish teachers!

About the schools map, it is updated directly by us. but we do it by hand so it might take a few days for every school to be on there.

And when you submit your results, you should only submit the school name, but you shouldn't need a number.

Hola, soy una profesora de Química de un colegio secundario de Argentina, Cordoba capital, Instituto Nuestra Madre de la Merced ( Mercedarias) ; y ya logre anotarlo pero no figura la provincia, menos el Instituto Nuestra Madre de la merced, como será esto?...ya que he convencido a la familia Mercedaria que nos anotamos?.

The Schools Map

I am Chemistry teacher of Unison World School, Dehradun (India). We are very excited to perform these Water experiments just waiting for the word "GO"( students are coming back on 1st April from the excursion). The experiments will be conducted at Junior and Senior levels.
We wish to contribute our results for this noble cause. I have registered by school for the Global water experiments but cannot find it on the schools map wherein the Countries of the participating schools are pointed.
Please clarify if my school is a part of Global Water Experiment? I wish to contribute the results of our findings with the same zeal and enthusiasm
